Customized teaching; that's why we stand out

Updated: Sep 3, 2021

The current climate:

The rigour of the school curriculum results in many students looking towards tuition to keep up with their studies and excel in school.

Unfortunately, professional one-to-one tutoring is highly expensive, often unaffordable even for the working class. Even then, one-to-one sessions may be lacking in an interactive-rich environment where student-peer-tutor interactions play a prominent role in making thinking visible for effective learning. Such targeted communication have long been proven to be highly effective pedagogical strategies for concept grasping (Hurst, Wallace, & Nixon, 2013; Roxå & Marquism, 2019) and instilling student efficacy and confidence.

However, group tuition presents other issues. The current teaching model employed by most tuition centers are far from ideal:

- Large class sizes

- Limited individual atteion

- Fixed curriculum catered to the masses

- Time-constraints

Noticing this lack, we serve to bridge this gap.

Our tuition center provides

1. Small class sizes, specializing in Math and GP tuition.

2. This allows for customized teaching to students' strengths and weaknesses. Consultation is also provided for students as and when they need it.

3. Having a small group also promotes interactive learning between student-peer-tutor to build confidence and skills acquisition

4. With a maximum of 5 students in each class, individual attention can be given to each child.

5. Regular teacher parent conversations are also held to ensure parents are kept up to date of their child's progress.
