2026 marks a definitive era in Singapore education: the full maturity of Full Subject-Based Banding (FSBB). The old labels of "Express," "Normal (Academic)," and "Normal (Technical)" are gone. In their place are posting groups: G1, G2, and G3. This is a positive shift, acknowledging that students have different strengths. A student might be G3 (Express standard) in English but G2 (N(A) standard) in Math. But while schools have adapted, many tuition centres have not.
